Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how the Agamoni website (agamoni.in) uses cookies and similar local storage. It supplements the Privacy Policy at /privacy. The Agamoni mobile app does not use cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar browser mechanisms. We group them as strictly necessary or analytics.
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Session and CSRF cookies — keep your visit secure and prevent cross-site request forgery on any form.
- ag_cookie_consent — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies (about 180 days).
- agamoni_stay_web — set if you choose "Stay on Web" instead of opening the app (about 24 hours).
These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
Analytics (only with your consent)
- Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_<id>, up to ~2 years) — measures anonymous, aggregated usage so we can improve the site. IP addresses are anonymised.
These load only after you press "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Until then, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics_storage and all advertising storage denied, so no analytics cookies are set. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
How to control cookies
Use the cookie banner when you first visit, or the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer at any time, to accept or reject analytics cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work but your preference may not be remembered.
The mobile app
The app uses no cookies. It stores data on your device in an SQLite database (offline place data and favourites), a secure token store (your login token) and app preferences (settings such as language). You can clear all of this by deleting your account in the app or uninstalling it.
Changes
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change, and record a new effective date.
